The relocatable buildings provided San Diego State immediate temporary classroom and office space, complete with restrooms for students and faculty dislocated by an on-campus project that was experiencing delays. Pacific Mobile provided seven buildings in total, including five 24’x60’ buildings for office, conference, and classroom space, one 36’x60’ for additional office space, and one 12’x40’ restroom trailer. The benefit of relocatable buildings is that they can be reused or repurposed multiple times and transported to different building sites to meet a temporary space need such as this. In addition, they also reduce the demand for raw materials and minimize the amount of energy expended to create a building to meet the new need, resulting in a greener approach.
