Siuslaw High School

Siuslaw High School in Florence, Oregon experienced an increase in enrollment. As a result, they transformed their administrative space into additional classroom space to accommodate their growing student body in a pinch. But it wasn’t enough. They needed more classroom space and they needed to replace the lost administrative space before the fall, so they turned to modular construction for its cost-effectiveness and speed.

They had modular buildings built by modular building factory, Blazer Industries in the, so they decided to reach out to them to see what their options were. Blazer Industries pointed them to Pacific Mobile Structures, and immediately Siuslaw High School found them to be a trustworthy partner in the industry to not only provide them with the two 28X64 classrooms and a custom 28X64 modular administration building, but also complete the civil engineering and site work before the buildings arrived. What’s more, Siuslaw High School was able to take advantage of the KCDA Cooperative Purchasing Contract by working with Pacific Mobile Structures.

The King County Directors’ Association (KCDA) is a public agency whose mission is to provide centralized procurement services to member school districts and public agencies to save them time and money and ensure they comply with all legal procurement requirements. Pacific Mobile Structures is an awarded vendor for permanent modular construction and portable building services through KCDA. Without the KCDA, this project wouldn’t have been possible in the required timeframe without the speed and ease the contract provides.

The interior of these complete turnkey standard buildings features 100% tackable wall surfaces and mechanical ERV systems to bring in fresh outside air. Custom-designed walkways with galvanized steel canopies connect the existing school to the new classroom and administration buildings, with the outward-facing side of the walkways enclosed for security and privacy. Custom fencing with gates, complete the exterior of this project.
