Lake Stevens Glenwood Elementary & Skyline Elementary

Lake Stevens School District needed to add more space to their Glenwood and Skyline Elementary Schools. Modular buildings were the best fit solution due to their speed, ease, and cost-effectiveness. While Lake Stevens School District had been a Pacific Mobile customer for many years, ordering standard relocatable classrooms, the Executive Director of Operations of Lake Stevens School District had been interested in investing in Pacific Mobile Structures’ esteemed SAGE Classrooms for many years. When this need arose, he decided it was the perfect time to make the long-anticipated investment.

Pacific Mobile Structures relocated five of their existing standard relocatable classrooms and delivered five SAGE Classrooms, placing them side by side by crane close to the respective main school buildings across the two elementary school campuses. In placing the new SAGE Classrooms, some existing playground equipment also had to be relocated on one of the elementary school campuses.

The interior of the buildings features pendant lighting, ERV with mini-split mechanical systems, high-velocity fans, high vaulted ceilings, and low-to-no VOC materials. The exterior of the buildings features phase-changing material in exterior walls, white TPO roof to refract sunlight, custom aluminum windows, and 60% more natural daylighting due to clearstory windows.

What makes this project notable is that these are Lake Stevens School District’s first SAGE Classrooms. What makes any project completed with SAGE Classrooms special is the result of energy-efficient classroom space designed with a healthy learning environment in mind.
